CANCER TREATMENT

Cancer is considered as the most severe health problem by the World Health Organization, affecting people worldwide due to morbidity, mortality, economic burden, and emotional hardship, and it is reported that over 22.4 million people in the world are currently suffering from cancer[1]. Motivated by such high number of incidences, cancer research is gaining more and more importance everyday with the aim of finding more robust solutions. Some natural materials have potential for the suppression of tumor angiogenesis. A carrier system produced from biodegradable polymers for making those materials available to cells through its sustained release at desired doses could be an effective approach for suppression of tumor angiogenesis.
